I really enjoyed reading this story about Wendy, her mom & Franco. Wendy is a maid at a resort hotel and Franco is the dish washer at the same resort, they are friends. Wendy is going to college at night and is working very hard for a communications degree and then going into pre-law so she can become a lawyer. Her and her mother are very poor and barely get by, so she can only take two or three courses at a time. Now she's taking chemistry and having a very difficult time of it. One day on her way to. Night classes she buys macadamia nuts from a street vendor, she not to fond of these nuts but needs some nourishment for class, so she buys a small bag, inside the bag she finds a little tiki statue that is hot too the touch. Right away she wants to throw it away, but can't find a garbage can, so she just tossed it in her bag. Read this book because it will make you laugh, cry and cum a lot.Product details

Not only was this book well written, it was extremely sexy. The heroine is likable, funny, and driven to finish college in pursuit of earning a decent living. However, working full time and being a student creates a lot of stress, and she's struggling to meet her high expectations. Her sexual needs are shoved to the wayside - until a small wooden idol is placed in her possession. She can no longer ignore her secret urges, but she has to find a way to incorporate sex, love, school, work, and family without falling apart. Fortunately, she discovers her happily ever after can include her idol urges after all!
I liked the fact that Wendy was serious about her studies and that she worked hard to make a better life for herself and her mother. The realistic touches that reflect the economic struggles many people have helped strengthen the story. Wendy was a likeable, admirable character who doesn't want to derail her dreams by indulging in a social life. The Tiki idol was a cute McGuffin to bring the sexy to the plot.
The only reservation I had about the story was Wendy's insistence on pushing Franco away! He was such a nice, sweet and sexy guy. I would have preferred it if her hook ups had involved more Franco and fewer others. That's just me, though. This story definitely lives up to its "erotic" tag.
I don't usually read this type of book , but this one was recommended to me , and I'm glad I read it! good story, hot scenes , and fun plot. I can't wait for Ruby's next book!
Really enjoyed this story! I love the idea of the magic tiki idol. Once I started reading, I couldn't stop. The author engages the reader right away. Idol Urges has a strong, likeable heroine, hot scenes, and a great plot. This is a well-written story from a talented writer, and I'm looking forward to reading more!
I really like stories that are sexy and funny and Idol Urges had me laughing out loud at times. The author definitely has a sense of humor as well as the ability to write hot love scenes. This was a fun read and an impressive debut. I look forward to Ruby Bassett's next book.
I read a lot.... bad back..... So, when I give a book five stars.... look out ya'll!!! Lol I loved this book! It's refreshing to find a REAL author on , now days, in the cheap section....... this author is one of them. Just lovely. I'd give it a ten if I could.
